November 22, 10 a.m. -- Thanksgiving Festival Service
This is a family service starting with a procession with food offerings -- we bring canned goods (for distribution to local food banks), fresh fruits and harvest decorations. The talk is oriented towards children. This year's talk is entitled, "Thank the Lord for the Bread of Life".November 24, 3-8 p.m. at Papago Park -- Annual Picnic
This is our "Sixth Annual Old-Fashioned Arizona Picnic" at Papago Park, Ramadas #9 and #10 (the Island). Some food is provided, and we're looking for folks to bring snacks, salads or desserts to help fill us all up. Here's the tentative schedule:- Hiking and Visiting starting at 3:00
- Games starting at 3:30
- Barbecue starting at 4:30, with hot dogs, burgers, drinks, ice and paper goods provided.
- Music and Crafts 6:00 - 8:00
Bring an Instrument. Bring a lawn chair.
