Then Daniel said to the king, "My God sent His angel and shut the lion's mouths, so that they have not hurt me...." So Daniel was taken up out of the den, and no injury whatever was found on him, because he believed in his God (Daniel 6:21,23).

Let all those rejoice who put their trust in You;
Let them ever shout for joy, because You defend them (Psalm 5:11).

People who are strong in truths are kept safe from harm wherever they go (see Arcana Coelestia 6769). 

The Lord sent an angel to close the mouths of the lions that threatened Daniel, and He wants nothing more than to protect each one of us. He is constantly watching over us and looking to our eternal happiness. Like Daniel, we will face predicaments in life. The free choices we make have consequences, and the Lord wants us to have that freedom to choose. But if we look to the Lord and trust in Him, He can protect us and lead us toward all that is good. We hope this month's website will help you look to the Lord as your Protector so that He may bless you with heavenly states of peace and contentment.
