Family Lesson:
Family Talk: The Twelve Apostles (PDF)
Level 1: The Lord and His Apostles (for ages 3-6) (PDF)
Child draws a picture of the Lord on top of a mountain and then uses twelve colors to draw the disciples, using a different color for each.
Level 2: Twelve Apostles Mobile Project (for ages 6-9) (PDF)
Make your own pictures of the disciples and then hang from crossed sticks. On the back of each one write his name and "Disciple of the Lord".
Level 3: Disciples of the Lord (for ages 9-12) (PDF)
The project for this level is another mobile with pictures of the twelve disciples provided (fronts and backs). Write the name of each disciple on the figure and follow the directions to assemble the mobile.
Level 4: Following the Lord (for ages 12-15) (PDF)
Color a stained glass window showing the Lord and His twelve disciples. On another "window" write something true and good under each disciple's name, because the disciples symbolize all the good and true things that we know and love. Attach the two windows on one side with the colored picture on top. When you lift it up, you will see examples of good and true things that can help us become disciples of the Lord.
Level 5: James, One of the Sons of Thunder (for ages 15 and up) (PDF)
While exploring the meaning of references to James in the Gospels, think about the selfish and unselfish motivations for the things that people do or want.
