In this commandment you are told not to steal — "Do not take what is not your own," whether objects or ideas. More deeply, you are to acknowledge that only God can give life, and that without God you can do nothing. You are to remember that you are not the origin of love and wisdom, rather that all the love and wisdom you have are free gifts from God. So give credit to God for those loving emotions you feel, those noble thoughts you think, and those useful deeds you do. Keep this commandment. Do not steal.
