New Ministers go to Serve in West Africa
Rev. Ekow Eshun was ordained in Bryn Athyn in late May 2007. He has moved to Ghana to serve as assistant to the Pastor in the Tema Society working under the direction of the Rev. Simpson Darkwah. In Tema, he will preach, teach, assist with the school and conduct pastoral and evangelization activities. As a secondary project Rev. Ekow will begin working to establish a group in the western coastal region of Ghana.
Rev. Godwin Zattay was ordained at the same service in Bryn Athyn. He has moved to Asakraka, Ghana. There he will serve as Assistant to the Pastor of the Asakraka-Kwahu church under direction of the Rev. Martin Gyamfi. In addition Rev. Zattay will serve the group in Kumasi (monthly) by preaching and teaching and evangelizing. Future plans include a startup group in the Volta region.
Rev. Segno Kodjo Ayi, his wife Katy and son are moving to Togo. There Rev. Ayi will serve as pastor of the group in Lome, Togo, and offer support for Erik Souka, a candidate who will be serving in Vogan. Rev. Ayi’p presence in Togo will be a great step in better supporting the growing church in Togo.
Tema Church Building is now installing its roof
The construction project of Tema New Church building has made great progress (see picture). Soon the building will be completely enclosed. For years the church has been forced to worship in a classroom of their school with attendees spilling out into the hall. Completion of this building is a necessary step for the group in establishing a permanent place of worship.
If you wish to make a contribution to support these efforts, please email David Lindrooth.
