A New Program Supporting the Growth and Development of Your Congregation

General Church Outreach is proud to announce a new program to support congregations in their growth and development efforts. Together with Frank Rose, General Church Outreach has packaged a new membership class, New Church Foundations.

Responding to a Need
Many congregations have requested support in assimilating or connecting new people to their congregations and helping new people to become more involved through commitment and service. We believe this program is an important step to answering that request for support in assimilation.

This new membership class is designed in a way that new people and existing members can strongly benefit from participation. The program is structured to be an interactive experience where people can share reflections and build community as well as learn concepts.

The program is seven sessions long, and can be coordinated with a weekly sermon on the various topics. Listen to the current sermon series being given by Reverend David C. Roth.

How to Run the Program
Whether you are in a large congregation, a small church group, or working on your own, this seven session program will enrich your life and help you to understand the most core teachings that the New Church has to offer.

The program includes a workbook for participants as well as a brief leader’s guide. It can be run by clergy or lay leaders. The leader’s task is to create a space for conversation and discussion around the seven topics listed above. The participants will have "homework" to read and reflect on material prior to the session on that topic. This is a great class to run as a follow up to a spiritual growth campaign.

Cost to Run the Program
The cost to run the program is just the cost of the workbook, that we recommend participants purchase. You may also factor into the cost of your program any refreshment or material costs. General Church Outreach will provide to you, at no cost, promotional brochures and posters to help encourage people to get involved. This program is made possible by a special donation by a General Church member.
