"It was Daniel who prophesied that this church would take the place of those which had come into existence since the world began, and would last for ever and ever" (True Christian Religion 788; cf. True Christian Religion 791; Daniel 2:44, 7:14).

That the four churches of this earth, of which we have treated above, have undergone these changes of state, will be shown in what follows; and lastly, that the church truly Christian, which succeeds those four at the present day, will never undergo consummation." (Coronis 24)

This New Church, truly Christian, which at this day is being established by the Lord, will endure to eternity, as is proved from the Word of both Testaments. It was also foreseen from the creation of the world. This church will be the crown of the four preceding churches, because it will have true faith and true charity. In this New Church there will be spiritual peace, glory, and internal blessedness of life, as is also proved from the Word of both Testaments. These things will be in this New Church, for the sake of the conjunction with the Lord, and through Him with God the Father. (Summary of points at the beginning of Coronis, 52-54; cf.
