New Church education works to prepare students for a useful life in this world and a life of eternal use and happiness in the life to come. 1. For the sake of the spiritual rebirth of the human race and of each person.

    

   Truths concerning charity toward the neighbor and love to the Lord must be learned before a person can be reborn.

2. To provide the means for instruction to promote a living faith.

    

   These truths are first implanted in the natural mind through instruction from parents and teachers, then from the Word of the Lord, and after that from personal reflection.A person is reborn to the extent that those truths are acknowledged and believed and lived.
