Day Seven - The New Church

Choices for readings

If you're ready to commit to reading, here are some suggestions on where to start:

A gospel from the New Testament (Matthew, Mark, Luke or John).
Reading the Psalms from the Old Testament.
True Christianity: an in-depth overview of the teachings of the New Church.
Heaven and Hell: a personal, vivid message on life after death, filled with angelic stories. This book also gives a nice overview of some of the main teachings of the New Church.
Divine Providence: This book describes the way that the Lord leads us.

Revelation is given not to teach us how to think but to teach us how to live. The Word becomes alive and true for each of us when we live it.

Readings

“He calls His own sheep by name and leads them out.”(John 10:3)

“We are led by the Lord through an inflow and taught by being enlightened. The reason we are led by the Lord through an inflow is that both the being led and the flowing in are connected to our love and volition.
