Curriculum for General Church Schools
The curriculum for General Church Schools engages students in learning about the world around them in light of New Church teachings. It also enables the building of skills that will help students to share their talents.
Our most recent review efforts have been focused on ensuring a coordinated curriculum for kindergarten through grade 12 that clarifies our spiritual goals and incorporates U.S. National Standards at each grade level.
New Church curriculum is designed to meet the needs of the students, by imparting knowledge about the world around them, nurturing moral values, and helping them recognize the Lord’s presence in their lives.
The Office of Education has coordinated the development and review of curricula for the following disciplines: religion, history and social studies, science, math, sacred & world languages, and physical education. The language arts and art curricula are in the process of being updated. Read more on the Religion Curriculum...
