Will I See My Loved Ones Again?

You will meet your loved ones again. You will recognize each other in the other world and celebrate that you are alive and together again. Married partners who learned to grow together in this world and tenderly love each other meet and congratulate each other upon their arrival. They continue together forever in heaven. In this world, time and space can separate. But in the next world, the world of the spirit, there are no spacial limits. It is the world of the mind and spirit. Love brings all together. This teaching brings me comfort. I had a brother who died as a child before I was born, and I look forward to meeting him in the other world. Swedenborg says all who die as children go to heaven, and tells a story of a man who lost his little brother in childhood. After a full life on earth this man too died and entered the other world. There he met his brother who was now an angel. When Swedenborg saw the man he noticed that he was crying. He asked why. He said that he couldn’t help it. His brother spoke from so much mutual brotherly love that it was as if “love itself were speaking."
